Baby Care Centers at Disney World: What Parents Should Know

Disney is designed with families in mind, so it’s no surprise that they’ve thought about the needs of the tiniest travelers too. One of the most helpful (and often overlooked) resources in the parks are the Baby Care Centers. If you’re visiting with an infant or toddler, these spaces can be a real lifesaver!

Each of the four Disney World theme parks has a dedicated Baby Care Center that is a staffed space designed specifically for families with infants and toddlers. Centers are open during regular park hours and are completely free to use.

While not all Baby Care Centers are created equally, they all have what you need in a pinch! I find the Hollywood Studios one to be a little tight and Magic Kingdom a little busy personally, but Epcot and Animal Kingdom are common stops for me to cool down in the AC and tend to my little one throughout the day. The Animal Kingdom location also happens to be conveniently next to Starbucks, which never hurts.

Each center typically includes:

  • A private nursing room some with rocking chairs

  • Changing rooms with multiple tables

  • Restroom facilities

  • A feeding area with highchairs

  • A main room with seating and a television

  • A small kitchen with microwave sink, bottle warmer, and water filter

  • A small shop selling essentials like formula, baby food, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, over-the-counter medications, and even emergency clothing

It’s one of those resources you may not think about ahead of time - but when you need it, you’ll be very glad it’s there.

The Baby Care Centers have saved my day more than once when a blowout threatened to derail our plans. The changing areas have plenty of space, which makes a huge difference compared to trying to manage a full outfit change in a crowded restroom. If you're really in a pinch, the on-site shop usually has a small selection of clothing - helpful when you’re deciding whether an outfit can be saved or is officially destined for the trash.

While the water parks, Resort hotels and Disney Springs do not have Baby Care Centers, changing stations can be found in most restrooms. In the large communal restrooms, there are usually designated baby changing areas so you don't have to wait in the regular line for a stall. You will also find changing tables at most restaurants around property too, though they may be located in a bathroom stall.

How to find a Baby Care Center

The easiest way to locate a Baby Care Center is in the My Disney Experience app. Open the map and toggle to “Guest Services” to see the nearest location.

Magic Kingdom:

Located between Casey's Corner and The Crystal Palace

Epcot:

Located next to First Aid in the Odyssey Building - between Test Track and the Mexico Pavilion

Hollywood Studios:

Located immediately to the left of entry in the Guest Services office. (The hardest to find, if you see a line outside Guest Services you can skip that and head right into the care center inside the shared building).

Animal Kingdom:

Located to the left of the Tree of Life next to Creature Comforts (aka Starbucks!)

Baby Care Centers are Optional!

If you're comfortable nursing or pumping while you're out in the parks, you absolutely can! The Baby Care Centers are simply there if you prefer privacy or a quiet break. Personally, I tend to use them when I need a break from the heat, need to deal with a diaper emergency, or if my little one is overstimulated and needs a calm place to eat.

When breastfeeding, I usually found it easier and quicker to feed while I waited in line, during longer rides like “it’s a small world” and Living with the Land, or just while walking around the parks as I never want to miss out on family fun. I have also used my Haakaa handheld breast pump and CERES CHILL portable cooler all around the parks as I found it easier to manage quick pumps on the go!

Knowing these spaces exist can make visiting Disney with a baby feel much less overwhelming, and they’re one of the reasons Disney is such a great destination with little ones!
