Disney World Dining Guide: Table Service, Quick Service & Snacks

Did you know Walt Disney World offers more than 200 dining locations across its four theme parks, two water parks, resort hotels, and Disney Springs? From quick-service favorites and iconic snacks to fine dining and character meals, there is truly something for every taste and budget.
Dining is a major part of the Disney vacation experience, and a little planning can make a huge difference. Whether you're interested in character dining, signature restaurants, mobile ordering, or using a Disney Dining Plan, understanding your options ahead of time can help you maximize both your time and your budget.
This guide provides an overview of the different types of dining available at Disney World and links to more detailed resources for planning your perfect dining experience.
Disney Dining Plans
Guests staying at Disney resorts have the option to purchase a Disney Dining Plan as part of their vacation package.
Dining Plans provide a set number of meals and snacks that can be redeemed throughout your vacation. Understanding the difference between table service, quick service, and snack locations is important because dining plan credits are tied to these categories.

Types of Disney Dining Options
Before deciding where to eat, it's important to understand Disney World's three primary dining categories. Each type offers a different experience and plays a role in how Disney Dining Plans are used.
Table Service:
Time to sit down and enjoy a meal with a waitstaff serving you. Most guests will take 1-1.5 hours to enjoy a full meal at a table service location. There are over 100 table service locations throughout Disney World at deluxe and moderate resorts, theme parks, and Disney Springs.
It is highly recommended to have a reservation for most table service locations. Reservations open up 60 days in advance. One of the perks of staying at a Disney World resort is that you can book for your full stay 60 days before check in. If staying off property, you can book reservations 60 days before each day.

Fine/Signature Dining
These are the crown jewels of table service locations at Disney. These restaurants take food quality, service, atmosphere, and wine lists to a higher level, but the price will also reflect that. These locations have dress codes so bring nicer attire. These locations also usually charge 2 table service credits for the dining plans or do not accept dining plans.
Some of our favorites at resorts include California Grill at Contemporary Resort, Jiko- The Cooking Place at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Narcoossee’s at Grand Floridian.
Some of our favorites at the parks (less strict on dress code) include Hollywood Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios, Tiffins at Animal Kingdom, Cinderella’s Royal Table (character dining) at Magic Kingdom, and Le Cellier Steakhouse or Monsieur Paul at Epcot.
Character Meals
These table service locations incorporate meeting some of your favorite characters. Disney World offers more than a dozen character dining experiences throughout the parks and resorts. Some of these may require 2 table service credits.
My favorite character meal at a resort is hands down Topolino’s Terrace for breakfast at Riviera.
My favorite character meals at the parks are Akershus at Epcot, Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom, and Tusker House at Animal Kingdom.

Dinner Shows
Want to be extra entertained while enjoying your table service meal? Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is the only dinner show at Disney World at this time. It is a two-hour show full of dancing, singing, and laughing while enjoying all you care to enjoy delicious southern comfort food. It will take two table service credits per person.

Dining Packages
Dining packages allow you to enjoy a meal at specified table service locations while guaranteeing better seating at a show later. Interested in priority seating through a dining package? Coming Soon: Dining Packages blog.
Fantasmic Dining Package: Grab lunch or dinner at 4 table service locations at Hollywood Studios and lock in VIP seating at Fantasmic that will place you centered in front of the stage.
Luminous Fireworks Package: Enjoy a wonderful view of Luminous The Symphony of Us fireworks show at Epcot while enjoying a meal at either Rose & Crown or Spice Road Table
Epcot Festival Dining Packages: Each Epcot festival has musical performances and with the dining packages, you can lock in priority seating. This is a great option if you want to see a performance without waiting in a long line.
Atmosphere
There are many Disney restaurants that add extra atmosphere to your dining experience. You can dine in space at Space 220, eat surrounded by fish at Coral Reef, watch sci-fi films at Sci Fi Dine-In Theater, run ketchup around a restaurant at Whispering Canyon, watch animals on the savanna at Sanaa, and more. Quick Service:
Quick Service dining is Disney's grab-and-go dining option, perfect for guests who prefer flexibility or don't want to commit to dining reservations. Simply order at the counter, food court, or through the My Disney Experience app, pick up your meal, and find a spot to enjoy it.
You'll find Quick Service locations throughout every Disney park, resort, and Disney Springs, making it easy to grab a meal whenever hunger strikes. And don't let the name fool you—these locations offer much more than burgers and fries. From barbecue and tacos to fresh bowls, international cuisine, and iconic Disney snacks, there are plenty of delicious options to choose from.

Some of my favorite quick service locations are:
Magic Kingdom: Sleepy Hollow for Nutella waffles, Casey’s Corner for corn dogs, Columbia Harbour House for chicken fingers
Epcot: Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie for French pastries, Regal Eagle for BBQ, La Cantina de San Angel for Mexican favorites, and Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe for Norwegian pastries including school bread.
Hollywood Studios: Ronto Roasters for a wrap, Woody’s Lunch Box for totchos and tarts, and ABC Commissary for the buffalo chicken grilled cheese.
Animal Kingdom: Satu’li Canteen for make your own bowls, Flame Tree BBQ for delicious bbq dishes, and Tamu Tamu Refreshments for an amazing cinnamon roll for breakfast
Disney Springs: The Polite Pig for delicious bbq, The Daily Poutine for you guessed it- poutine, Chicken Guy for chicken tenders, and Amorette’s Patisserie for bakery favorites.
Snacks:
Snacks are exactly what they sound like, not a full meal but a delicious smaller snack. Some of Disney World's most iconic foods are actually snack items, including Dole Whip, Mickey Pretzels, popcorn, School Bread, and seasonal EPCOT festival offerings. You will find these at quick service locations and kiosks throughout the parks and resorts.
Disney snacks are often overlooked when planning a vacation dining budget, but they can play a big role in both savings and experience. Many snack items are generously portioned and even large enough to share, making them a great way to try more of Disney’s most iconic treats without committing to a full meal.
From savory bites to signature sweets, incorporating snacks throughout your day is a fun and flexible way to experience the variety of food Disney has to offer while keeping your budget in check.
