Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Princess Dining Review
Updated October 2026
Ready to dine in a medieval castle and twirl with Disney princesses? Welcome to Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, tucked inside the Norway Pavilion at Epcot. It's a family-style Nordic feast with a royal guest list, and it's one of my favorite character meals at Disney World.
Quick verdict: I'd choose this over Cinderella's Royal Table. I like the food more, and it's a much easier reservation to grab.
If you're deciding whether it's worth booking, what characters you'll meet, and how the food is, you're in the right place.

A Princess Paradise
Calling all of my Disney princess fans...Akershus is perfect for you! Here you will enter the medieval castle in the Norway Pavilion and instantly feel like royalty. You will see flags and chandeliers hanging from the rafters that give the vibe you are visiting a castle that has been welcoming visitors for decades. Your Norwegian guide will take you to your table to prepare you for a feast and to meet five incredible princesses.
Character Interactions
The Princesses will enter the main dining room to music and work their way through the tables to spend time with each guest.
Guests typically meet Snow White, Jasmine, Ariel, Belle, Aurora, but the princesses may vary by day. They will not include Anna or Elsa (although you can meet them next door at their summer cabin - Royal Sommerhus).
They rotate through the dining room and visit each table individually, which makes interactions feel personal and unhurried. That said, the full rotation does take time, so you should plan for at least 90 minutes, and closer to 2 hours during busier dining times.

The Food at Akershus
Akershus operates with family-style platters, which means your server will bring out massive platters of food for the table to share. The menus below are always subject to change.
Breakfast
Breakfast consists of two parts.
Cold buffet includes pastries, yogurt, fruit, cheeses, and meats. You will help yourself to whatever you want.
Hot family-style platter served to your table with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, Norwegian waffles, and potato casserole
Lunch and Dinner
This is the crown jewel of the food options and the meal I have gone back for time and time again. You are served three courses, all family-style at your table.
Lefse with Cinnamon Butter, Selection of Cheeses, Chilled Nordic Shrimp Salad, and Princess Garden Greens with Lingonberry Vinaigrette
Norwegian meatballs with lingonberry jam, seasonal vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy, seared salmon, chicken, and macaroni and cheese
Assortment of Norwegian desserts
Lefse and salad Main platter of food Norwegian desserts
While I haven't personally done the breakfast yet, I love the lunch and dinner options. We couldn't get enough of the lefse with the cinnamon butter. The lingonberry jam mixed with the meatballs was perfect. The chocolate log we had for dessert was delicious and so was the rice pudding.

Pricing can change, but here is the current cost as of October 2026.
Breakfast Menu: $62 per adult and $39 per kid or 1 table service credit

Akershus vs Cinderella's Royal Table
While both princess meals are wonderful, here are some things I prefer about Akershus:
Food: I prefer Akershus. The family-style Nordic dishes are more interesting, and you can keep the platters coming.
Booking: Akershus is the easier reservation, though you should still be ready on day 60.
Vibe: Both give you the castle-and-princess experience. Akershus is also at Epcot, so you can work it into a World Showcase day.
Tips & Tricks
Want to make the most of your reservation?
1.Book Early
Reservations open 60 days before your resort check-in day. They start at 6AM and often disappear quickly, especially during busy seasons.
2.All You Care to Enjoy The family-style serving is unlimited so go ahead and ask for the extra lefse or dessert!
3.Give Yourself Time This meal will likely take at least 90 minutes so make sure you have the time and enjoy the air conditioned time off your feet.
4.Have your Cameras Ready The character interactions at Akershus have always been a highlight for me. This is the main reason people come to Akershus so have your cameras ready to capture the fun!
