Want a family-style feast at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort? 'Ohana is two meals in one. In the morning, it's the Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. In the evening, it's a character-free, all-you-care-to-enjoy dinner of grilled meats, noodles, and bread pudding, with a possible view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Not sure whether breakfast or dinner is right for your trip? This guide covers both, with prices, menus, and tips.

Quick verdict: If you are looking for a fun character meal at the only place at Disney World to meet Lilo, the breakfast is perfect for you. If you are looking for great food without needing characters, the dinner is best for you.

Getting There:

'Ohana is located at Disney's Polynesian Resort, which is a Magic Kingdom area resort.

  • From Magic Kingdom: Monorail or ferry

  • From Epcot: Take monorail to Transportation and Ticketing Center and then switch to resort line

  • From Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom: Take bus to Polynesian Resort

  • From Resorts: Either take transportation to Magic Kingdom and monorail/ferry over or grab a Minnie Van/Lyft/Uber to Polynesian.

'Ohana Character Breakfast

The Best Friends Breakfast features Lilo and Stitch, joined by Mickey Mouse in his Hawaiian shirt and Pluto. They stop by your table for photos, hugs, and autographs, and there's a little conga-line-style dance around the room. That said, the full rotation does take time, so you should plan for at least 90 minutes, and closer to 2 hours during busier dining times.

Stitch was my niece's favorite character interaction of the entire trip. He made her feel incredibly special and, while it took almost 2 hours to meet them all, we loved this experience.

The Breakfast Food at 'Ohana

Breakfast is an all-you-care-to-enjoy American breakfast with Polynesian flavors, served family-style.

  • Freshly made pineapple-coconut breakfast bread

  • Fresh fruit

  • 'Ohana Breakfast Skillet with scrambled eggs, Hawaiian-style ham with pineapple compote, pork sausage links, island-style fried potatoes, and warm biscuits

  • Mickey-shaped and Stitch waffles

Plant Based Option

  • Fresh fruit

  • Cinnamon sugar doughnuts

  • 'Ohana Plant-Based Breakfast Skillet with scrambled "eggs", "sausage", fried island-style potatoes, and character-shaped waffles

This is the only place I know of that serves Stitch waffles! The rest of the food is delicious, especially the breakfast bread and ham with pineapple compote. Add in the POG (passion orange guava) juice and it is a great breakfast assortment.

'Ohana Dinner

Dinner has no characters, but you may get live music from a strolling musician. 'Ohana is also known for a Hawaiian twist on churrascaria-style service, with platters of grilled meat brought to your table. If you book the right time, you may be able to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from your table.

The Dinner Food

Dinner is all-you-care-to-enjoy and served in courses.

  • Starters: Signature 'Ohana bread with honey butter and a mixed greens salad

  • 'Ohana Dinner Skillet: Pork dumplings in garlic-chili sauce, honey-coriander chicken wings, wood-fire grilled black pepper-teriyaki beef, grilled shrimp with 'Ohana seasoning, grilled chicken with guava-pineapple glaze, and the famous 'Ohana noodles with teriyaki and stir-fried vegetables

  • Dessert: 'Ohana bread pudding à la mode with homemade caramel sauce

(Don't judge me for missing the photo of the main course...we were hungry)

Plant Based Option

  • Starters: Rolls and mixed greens salad

  • 'Ohana Plant-Based Dinner Skillet: 'Ohana noodles with teriyaki, stir-fry vegetables, and edamame dumplings tossed in garlic-chili sauce, guava-pineapple glazed "chicken," plant-based sausage, and black pepper-teriyaki plant-based beef and broccoli

  • Dessert: Plant-based bread pudding with soy-based frozen dessert

Drinks: Tropical cocktails and mocktails cost extra. The Lapu Lapu in a pineapple is one to know about.

We really enjoyed the food here especially the famous noodles. They had a musician walking through the restaurant playing the ukelele to set the vibe. I recommend dinner at 'Ohana for the food and vie.

Tips & Tricks

Want to make the most of your reservation?

1.Book Early

Reservations open 60 days before your resort check-in day. They start at 6AM and often disappear quickly, especially during busy seasons.

2.All You Care to Enjoy The family-style serving is unlimited so go ahead and ask for the extra noodles or bread pudding.

3.Time dinner for the fireworks The view of the fireworks isn't guaranteed during dinner, but you can also schedule it to end before fireworks and catch the view on the beach.

4.Give Yourself Time Breakfast and dinner will likely take at least 90 minutes so make sure you have the time and enjoy the air conditioned time off your feet

5.Have your Cameras Ready Have your cameras ready to capture the fun with either characters or the wonderful music.
